It's a Summer Olympic year and we took a closer look at judo from the lens of the coach, with Canadian coach, Ken Fukushima.
Nii Wallace-Bruce caught up with Ken Fukushima to discuss his journey in Judo.Ken shares the story of how he met Egyptian judo legend and Olympic medallist, Mohamed Ali Rashwan in Japan. Rashwan's trip to the podium at the 1984 Olympics is a story in itself.This meeting would end up being a moment of synergy down the line for Canadian judo, as it relates to the El-Nahas brothers (Mohab and Shady).
